Police Activities League of Greater Portland Area
Beaverton Youth Center Programs
The Beaverton PAL chapter was formed in 1997 and resulted in a partnership between the Beaverton Police Department, area businesses and concerned citizens. PAL provides programs and activities for kids 8 to 18 years of age at its year-round youth center located in the Beaverton Resource Center and at various sites throughout the community. Beaverton PAL is strong in collaboration with other agencies and local corporations, such as IBM, Intel, and Nike in providing its programs.

The Beaverton youth center strives to provide solid programs and positive adult role models for area youth. Standout programs at the Beaverton center include the boxing team and the Intel Computer Clubhouse. Other program highlights includes: Homework Club, Youth Leadership Club, Girls Empowerment Group, cooking classes, Chess for Success, Art classes, Hip Hop, Zumba and Lego Robotics.

The Beaverton Youth Center is open from 2:30 pm - 6:30 pm Monday through Friday during the school year.

Membership is $50 for the school year.
